Tuesday, December 14, at approximately 10:40 a.m., a fatal collision involving a single vehicle was reported on Valley Center Road. A man was driving a late 90’s model GMC Yukon, southbound on Valley Center Road, south of Ridge Ranch Road. For reasons that are still under investigation, the driver lost control of his vehicle, veered off the roadway, collided into a fence post and subsequently overturned. The male was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The California Highway Patrol, and North County Fire Department responded to the scene to assist the driver. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene. According to CHP Officer Ryan Harrison, It is not known if alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision. This incident remains under investigation.
