National Vinyl Products, a domestic manufacturer of vinyl fence and rail profiles, has opened a new manufacturing plant in Dover, which will create more than 100 jobs and double the company's North American production capacity.

The company remodeled the space once occupied by PPG paint and finishes factory.

The new $20 million PVC extrusion plant will produce vinyl fences and railroad products in a 100,000-square-foot production area, as well as several acres of land designated for product storage and railroad spur lines with loading docks.

Although the new Dover plant will initially be used to manufacture and package fence products, it will also serve as a storage and grounding point for connecting to the NVP production network.

"This is not only an opportunity to bring more jobs to the region, but also an opportunity to obtain resources and ideal transportation routes, and enable us to further expand our manufacturing capabilities and meet the needs of the growing North American market."

In 2001, National Vinyl Products was established as a distributor of vinyl fences and related products, focusing on providing services to vinyl fence manufacturers and retailers in the western United States. NVP's next growth phase was in 2004, when it opened an extrusion plant in Nephi, Utah to produce high-quality vinyl fence and rail profiles.

Since then, the factory's production capacity and product supply have continued to expand. NVP currently sells fence and rail profiles to distributors and contractors in North America. A press release stated that all materials manufactured by NVP are manufactured in the United States.
