Benvic, an expert in PVC compounds and eco-biopolymers, announced that it intends to seek material synergies and new products for the world medical market through its ModenPlast subsidiary in northern Italy.

Benvic ModenPlast has been established in medical tubing technology and related world markets for decades, and will now become a springboard for Benvic's comprehensive expertise in medical compounding and applications.

Benvic Modenplast will now work with Benvic Luc & Bel to develop new integrated solutions for the global medical system; a system composed of new polymer compounds and products processed from them.

Benvic Medical is committed to improving design, function, and expertise by integrating these technologies and businesses.

Benvic’s CEO Luc Mertens explained that the strategy is to “build a vertically integrated medical department that provides sustainable value to the evolving medical department, integrates with other departments in our group, and-especially-provides real Environmental and social values."

Prior to the acquisition, ModenPlast was already its own manufacturer of PVC raw materials. Benvic’s ownership injects new synergies between Modenplast medical compounds and their applications and Benvic’s advantages in logistics and formulation technology. In addition to PVC-based products, Benvic ModenPlast also processes various other polymers for extrusion, including PE, TPU, TPE and EVA.

Benvic Medical will launch some ModenPlast and Luc & Bel medical technologies at Medica Compamed, the world's leading industry exhibition in Dusseldorf from November 15 to 18, 2021.
