As the year ends, it's time to take a look at some of the most memorable events and images of 2021. The events covered in this article (the first part of this year’s three-part photo summary) include the January 6 data breach and Trump supporters’ views on the U.S. Capitol, the inauguration of President Joe Biden, and the global coronavirus pandemic.
